   Actually, the surf shape in SoCal got worse since 1999 & the skatepark quality went way up better than surfing. When it’s good, I’ll be surfing Tavarua. Otherwise, dude, the new skateparks. The parks have all the lines, tricks and stunts and more that of surfing. It’s I’ll go surfing when it’s better than skating, not the other way around. I could jam down the sidewalk and get just as much action as SoCal surfers 98% of the time; New Park=100%. The contest trend is small close out wave tricks
