What is better, big wave riding or smaller wave riding with more tricks?

This Question is about surfing, i think big waves would be good fun but little waves when you do tricks are good too. Say what you think.
big wave is alot more dangerous and fun. Really only the professionals do big wave not alot of amateurs. You dont find alot of little kids plunging down a 20 + foot face.
