What is the best Sony Video camera to video surfing.?
im looking for one in the 100-500 dollar range.
Stay away from hard drive camcorders – bumps and bangs aren’t good for them. MiniDV are the least expensive BUT you should take a look at the CX12; it records directly onto Sony Memory Sticks.
1. That makes for quick transfer to your computer (minutes) as compared to recording onto miniDV tapes that have to be "played" onto your computer. (hour tape = hour to transfer)
2. You can record several hours on a 16GB Memory Stick. (vs miniDV
that require a new tape every hour)
Of course, you should get an underwater housing for whatever model you choose.
