What surfboard should I buy for surfing the east coast of Scotland?

I’ve been surfing for around 2 years, and currently have an 8’4 longboard, which was great for learning on and fun for small days, but I’m looking for something a bit faster and easier to turn. I’m 5’11, 200 pounds and reasonably fit, but my paddle strength could do with improving.
Take a look at fishes. They’re made wider and thicker so you’ll be able to ride a much shorter board and still catch a ton of waves. The shorter length will also make the board a lot more maneuverable. Take a look at 9 Fish surfboards, http://www.9fishsurf.com. Their 6’2" Seared Ahi might be a good fit for you. I believe they ship to Europe.

I don’t know what kind of waves you get over there but the next size down for you would be like a 7 footer.
You go down further than that and you’ll have yourself a shortboard which are really fast and fun but designed for big wave riding.
